The application for the iPhone, iMussolini was removed from the Apple Stores by the author, Luigi Marino. The decision of the Neapolitan programmer arrived twenty-four hours after Cinecittà Luce announced carrying out legal action against “those who used and traded documents of our property”.
Marino said he just collected the videos from the internet. “I also sent to the Luce institute a list with the websites from which I took the videos – he said to ANSA -. Waiting for a contact from Apple and my lawyers, I decided to remove this application to show my good faith concerning what happened”.
The application, whose price had doubled in the last couple of days (from 0.79 to 1.59 Euros), allowed the iPhone users to download on their mobile phone a hundred speeches given by Mussolini, both text and video.
