Extraordinary birth at the Rummo hospital of Benevento where this morning six twins were born. According to the Rummo hospital, Mrs. C.O., from Orta di Atella, pregnant at her 26th week with the symptoms of preeclampia, was transferred to the University Policlinic “Federico II” of Naples because 6 units of intensive care were necessary for a Caesarean. The people involved in this birth were more than thirty. The six twins, four females and two boys, are in goods health conditions and are now being assisted at the Intensive care unit directed by doctor Luigi Orfeo.

A “fire baptism”, said an announcement of the hospital, for doctor Gennaro Trezza, who had just been nominated head physician of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit of the Rummo hospital. The babies weighed in between 610 g. and 800 g. This is event is extraordinary if you consider that a similar episode took place in Italy in 1996. Tomorrow at 12, at the General Direction, a press conference will be held by the head physicians Luigi Orfeo and Gennaro Trezza, and the babies’ father. The hospital wished a happy future to the parents, who come from the province of Caserta, P.M. and C.O.
