The hypothesis of a legal notification for the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for Mafia association “seems a science fiction hypothesis”. This is what the Justice Minister Angelino Alfano said in a interview with “Corriere della Sera”, adding: “The prime Minister was acquitted twice for the accusations”. According to Alfano “the only news are the ones given by the media, a sort of novel in episodes continuously fomented by press leaks”.

The Justice Minister answered with an “unconditional no” the questions concerning a law that separates complicity from Mafia association and explained: “We are the anti-Mafia government that has produced the greatest number of laws against the Mafia since Giovanni Falcone was at the Penal Section” and “this is a government that will soon pass another plan against the Mafia”.
