The carabinieri arrested 9 people, amongst whom the president of Potenza football club, Giuseppe Postiglione, sports executives and a member of a criminal organization, for conspiracy in sports competitions and other serious crimes connected. The matches taken into consideration concerned the seasons 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 of Serie B and former C1. Potenza play in the latter, group B.
