Russian are looking for a home in Italy, but only in exclusive locations. They love Rome but choose Sardinia for tourism. This is the identikit of a Russian who is looking for a new house in Italy according to Immobiliare.it, the Italian online real estate agency, that registered a growth of 15% a year in the search for houses in Italy by foreigners. The Russians’ most frequent request is a villa in Sardinia, starting from 900 thousand Euros.
Most of the international requests come from the United Kingdom and Germany (respectively 24% and 21% of the total) and if the English people dream about a rural home in Tuscany (29% of cases) and look for houses between 300 thousand and 500 thousand Euros (76%), the Germans are more provident and the objective of their search is a two-room house (35% of preferences) in Emilia Romagna to spend between 200 thousand and 300 thousand Euros (47% of cases).
