A 45-year-old woman, who was hospitalized because she had the swine flu, died this morning at the Cotungo hospital in Naples. She is the seventh victim in Naples. In the meantime the prosecutor’s office opened a case on Emiliana D’Auria, the 12-year-old girl, who died in Pompei. “We just want to verify if a crime has been committed, and which can also be useful for public health”, said the public prosecutor of Naples, Giovandomenico Lepore.

“We want to dispel all doubts on this case” said the prosecutor. The results of the autopsy will also be useful in order to understand the origin of the virus and the role it had in the girl’s death, and if there were any other previous diseases. The parents said that Emiliana was in good health and that she did not suffer from anything. That’s the reason why we want to understand what happened”.
